Anna's Meet the Teacher Day

Anna is going to her first year of preschool next week!
She will be in my great friend Kristi's "Kreative Kid" preschool.
Love love love the whole thing!
She is so great with the kids, and I couldn't ask for a better teacher or atmosphere.

Anna got to go "meet" her teacher (even though she dropped Owen off last year with me 2x a week, and did a worksheet with Kristi many of those days), decorate a star with her name on it...
And get her folder (which she was excited about)!

T actually took her today... as well as styled her hair.
Apparently she asked for "curly" today... lol!
Such a little cutie!

Owen's First Day of Kindergarten

Aaaaghhhh... the first day of school.  Real school.  The same school that I went to growing up!
Meadow Elementary!
A quick re-cap of the day...
Owen woke up an hour before normal and said that he had woke up a million times during the night!
He watched cartoons for awhile, snuck some candy out of the cupboards to snack on...
Got dressed while giggling and mumbling that it REALLY was his first day of school today...
Was completely ready about 15 minutes before he needed to leave to the bus stop.
We noticed he was "missing" and I looked down the street... he had left by himself without saying goodbye - he was so super excited he couldn't even stand it!
So I snapped a couple pictures and gave him a hug...Anna and dad waved...
I followed the bus to the school but missed him getting off and going in.
He found his class and had a GREAT DAY!

He especially loved recess & snack time.

Yey! Anna turns 3!

Anna is finally an official BIG GIRL!
She had such a fun birthday party...
Pony Rides on Willie
Water Color Painting
Fingernail Painting
Cupcake Eating
Present Opening

Thanks to everyone who came & gave Anna lovely presents!
She said "tank you" to everyone individually as she opened her presents,
and has REALLY loved to have some of her very own GIRLY toys to play with.

Some fun things about Anna at 3 years old:
She loves her big brother SO much
She loves her dad EVEN MORE!
She won't sit thru a Barbie or Princess movie...
But she has dad's mountain lion movie memorized.  Not kidding.
She is beautiful... & gets compliments daily about how cute she is.
Is quite the teaser lately... loves to tease anyone around.
LOVES the dogs & horses.
Loves to wrestle with dad, bubba, mom, and any dog who is game!
(I asked her today if she wanted to mow the lawn first, or clean the pantry... and she responded, "Let's Wrestle!")
Will eat a plate of cooked broccoli & cauliflower any day.
Recently went on a series of 4 zip lines with us and loved it.
Starts preschool in one week and can't wait!

We love you Anna Banana!

Humbolt

Just wanted to post a pic of our horse Humbolt today. T took him up Hobblecreek Canyon for a ride with a friend from the ward, and sent me this pic from his phone. Humbolt has been around forever... when T and I were dating, he would put a cowboy hat on him (with ear holes cut out so his ears were sticking up thru) and leave him sitting there for me to see when I came out. Don't!!

He also is the horse T sold to buy my diamond when we got engaged. I was a little sad, 'cause I get attached easily... but the diamond quickly took my mind off my old friend. A few years after we got married, T received a phone call and it was someone wanting to sell a horse named Humbolt!! We were so lucky to be able to buy him back years later.

And now... we gave him to Owen (since his horse Skipper died this summer). We {heart} him!

Jake the Giant Horse

We bought a new horse the other day. We already have two pretty big horses. Well, this one makes them look like ponies!! He is seriously HUGE. I wish Humbolt or Emmy were standing next to us so you can really tell. Anyway, he is such a good looking horse, I'm not sure if we can get rid of him! I don't think I would ever dare ride him, but he's good eye candy for looking out my kitchen window!!

Stylin!

Owen looked so COOL this evening with his NEW SCHOOL SHOES that he LOVES, his "safest" helmet (as he says) and the cutoff sweats... Trying out new tricks on his bike!

1st year of T-Ball!

Owen is such a great little sport! He ABSOLUTELY loves whatever it is he is signed up for at the moment. He had such a great time at T-ball practices AND games this year! His coach, Doug Webb, was AWESOME! He would bring fun things to practice - like hula hoops to throw the ball into... swimming pools and slip-n-slides at each base...water balloons to practice catching...

He looks a little bored here, but he was right on top of it! He surprised us a couple of times when he jumped to catch a fly ball and caught it!

At the end of the season, each team member got a REAL medal and a certificate.
Owen wore the medal for probably two days straight.
And he wanted to know when he could play REAL baseball...
with no T. I told him next year... and he giggled!
When he found out that after coach pitch he could play REAL REAL baseball, he was even MORE excited! Love that little man!

Good Job Bubba!
