Owen's Kindergarten Picture

Isn't he handsome?

He wore his favorite blue shirt and was sportin' his first two missing teeth..

Such a "kindergarten" picture!

He is in Ms. Petersen's class this year.

She is new to Meadow Elementary and seems to me the BEST kindergarten teacher.

He is loving school and learning new things every week!

He still says the recess is his favorite part of school... but I think he enjoys the learning, too!

(or maybe I'm just hoping...??)

Hee Haw Farm Field Trip

Anna and I were headed to Hee Haw Farms for a field trip...

Premature Pumpkin Carving

Owen talked his dad into carving a pumpkin.... about 2.5 weeks ago!

We told him it would be mushy by Halloween, but he didn't care... so we went for it!

He did a great job!!

GO UTES!!

Owen's school had spirit week (aka Red Ribbon Week) - 

he got right into it. 

He loved crazy hair day - we did black stripes in his hair along with blue spikes.

Crazy sock day he wore some of MY turquoise knee socks, with ace tape wrapped around his ankles (to hide the heel in the back) which we then wrote "CRAZY" with a marker.  He even tucked his shorts into the socks so his shorts wouldn't cover up anything... he looked, um, real "cool."  haha

One day was BYU or Utah day - which of course, he rooted for the right team!

He is loving kindergarten!!

The CIRCUS!!!

My good friend Kristi invited us to go to the circus with her family.

It was definitely a FUN time!  

Beginning with the random Llamas to pet, 

an ELEPHANT RIDE!!  (yes, we did!!)

and the $10 bags of popcorn!

Some of the highlights for me personally:  the kangaroo that boxed with a circus man, the ele-freaking-phants that had their whole routine choreographed (was THE BEST PART by far!!!  loved it), our drinks both spilling all over our feet, the elephant ride on Maddie was super duper cool, and the trapeze artist!  Thanks Kristi for inviting us!
