Right after I posted about "pet peeves" I thought that I really should post about some of my favorite things as well...so here are a list of some of my favorite things...
-Owen's footsteps running to my bedroom in the middle of the night. I love that sound no matter how tired I am...and I can't imagine life without those little footsteps.
-Anna's beautiful smile. Every time I make eye contact with her, she smiles. What a little cutie she is.
-A field full of horses... I know that sounds cheesy but I really do like that!
-Road trips with T. It's always fun to have time to talk, laugh, sing and just catch up with each other.
-Mowing the lawn. I love to mow. It gives me instant gratification. I love the smell, I love the look of a newly mowed lawn.
-My mom and dad's house...it will always be "home" to me. I still love their shower more than mine, and I will always sleep better in MY (old) bed.
-Working out...I love sweating and the "high" that I feel when I am done.
-Our dogs. Maybe not ALL the dogs, but I do really like our cow dogs - Tess and Siss. Tess is my little sweetie. She will follow me around, come when I call, lay down when I say, or love me when I need it.
-Chocolate. I really am addicted. Chocolate milk, candybars, cake, pie - you name it, and I probably like it.
-Work. I have stayed at the same place for almost 15 years! It is obviously one of my favorite things...
-Getting my hair done, eyebrows waxed, toenails painted, or getting new clothes. These things always give me a "lift" just when I need one.
-Slippers. I couldn't live without my slippers! I cannot walk around my house with bare feet - so I have thong slippers in the summer, and warm slippers in the winter!
-Going camping with the "fam" - it's so fun to get in scrubby clothes, get dirty, ride four-wheelers, cook outside - all that camping stuff.
-Raking leaves. I know it sounds crazy, but I love that I am getting exercise, I'm out in the fall air, and that the yard looks so nice when I am done!
-Swimming, boating - lying in the sun! I love summer.
-Chunky rings, my diamond ring, and funky earrings.
Now I could go on and on... but I am tired and the last on my list for tonight is SLEEPING. I really do love lying down at the end of the day (who doesn't?)! So I am going to bed! I feel a tad bit guilty not including my boys' favorite things on this blog, so I will have to add those another day!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

Pet Peeves
So a couple years ago, a group of family members were talking and the conversation led to pet peeves. My sister whipped out her purse and pulled out a list of her pet peeves - that she had TYPED UP and LAMINATED! Who does that? Only my funny baby sister! Anyway, I got thinking about that the other day and I thought of a few of my own. I brought it up at work and we had fun talking about what everyone's pet peeves were...
I don't think I am a really over-the-top anxious or crazy person, but these things DO bug me!
-Half-inflated balloons hanging around the house (kind of floating but not really) OR when balloons get all cloudy looking
-People who drive mini-vans with one foot stuck out the window... unless you are on a long road trip and you are uncomfortable, you don't need a foot out the window. A trip around town does not constitute a foot out the window.
-The radio too loud in the car/truck while you are trying to have a conversation with someone.
-Being on time for something and having others show up late.
-Tracking dirt in the house and not cleaning up after yourself (my sweet hubby NEVER does this...)
-Someone signaling right with their blinker on, and then not pulling over to the right side of the road to turn
-Throwing dirty clothes in the hamper and having them half hanging out... just put them ALL THE WAY IN!
-Dirty dishes in both sides of the sink...(just put them all in one side so the other side is available for washing hands, filling up water bottles, etc.)!
-When you are shopping and paying for merchandise and the employee doesn't thank you for coming in...he/she is busy talking to someone else or just plain out rude and inconsiderate...where is the old fashioned customer service nowdays?
So I don't think I will ever type up my list and laminate it, but I do feel better now that I have written some of these down. I'm sure I will think of more as soon as I post this, so I will have to add them later! Does anyone care to share your own pet peeves?

It's a Miracle!!
Something huge happened last night, and I want to have it go down in the Hover history... a miracle... something that has never happened before...a wondrous occasion, a major breakthrough........
ANNA SLEPT ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT! In her OWN bed! There was no rocking, no holding, no carseat, no medicine, no music - nothing but a blanket to help her sleep! The actual hours of sleeping were 11 pm to 7 am... and to make it even better, she just stirred a little at 7 am so I changed and fed her, and she went BACK to sleep until 9:30!
I don't know if Owen has ever done that - and he is almost 3 years old. That is why it is such a miracle. We are not used to that at our house. But I really really really really loved it. I am a new woman today. I feel like I can conquer the world.
So I want to thank Anna for being such a good baby. Please please please try and do it again...I will give you whatever you want. Milk? You got it. Sweet talking? You got it. Santa is coming soon and I'm sure he will load you up with lots of toys. So just keep on doing what you're doing...
