My little Munchkin

These pictures just cracked me up!

I don't know whether to think she looks like a J. Crew model or a little orphan child...

started out with the skirt, boots and sweater. By the time we got home from Marnee and Papa's, she had a scarf, a hat, and a cookie!

My mom made the darling little hat... it has a little pom pom ball on top that you can't quite see, but it's to die for.

This little strut cracks me up, too. I think she gets it from her dad.

The Cookie Giver

So if you look at the list on the right side of the blog, you will see some of the things Owen wants to be when he grows up. One of them is a "cookie giver." I have no idea where this idea came from, but lately he is really applying himself!

At Sunday dinner, we brought cookies for dessert, and Owen took it upon himself to hand them out. After everyone got one, he got everyone's attention by saying, "Whoever wants another cookie...(pause and smile) RAISE YOUR HAND." So dang cute!

Then the other night after eating his whole dinner, I put two Oreo cookies on his plate. He politely told me he only "wanted one cookie, mom. I'll give you the other one." Instead of just handing it across the table, he got out of his seat, walked around the table, and set it nicely in front of me.

"Wow, Owen! You are a GREAT COOKIE GIVER," I said to him. He got a great big smile on his face and said, "Yeah! I AM a cookie giver. One of my wishes came true!"

Fall Fun

One day last week we ended up in the little "hut" in my parent's backyard. I thought this was a cute pic of my dad...

Papa seems to LOVE playing in the leaves as much as the kids do!

Crazy Week

I don't want to give details, but I am going to list a few things that has made this week a little abnormal:

1. An unfortunate event that I cannot even begin to describe...(not really that serious, but definitely confidential)

2. Dead rat. Poisoned to death. In a blanket in garage that got brought inside to be washed. Horrible stink. Awful.

3. Those two things happened in one night and I was a mess!

4. Worked 5 days instead of 3 this week - plus 2 extra meetings and taught aerobic class

5. Anna has weird rash from immunizations.

6. Stepped in one too many piles of dog poo this week (not all in my yard, really!)

7. OBGYN appointment (really not that bad, but still)

8. Owen sleeping all night in his own bed and has had dry underpants all night! Yey!

9. Small oven fire (2 separate days). Then small kitchen garbage fire.

10. Got my nose hairs waxed. Seriously. Did you know that is possible? And it is less painful than waxing eyebrows.

So there you have it. 10 things that have made this week exciting!
