Good Day

Such a good day today.
Macie slept over, and kids played great.
They took a long bath together & I loved
listening to their conversations in the tub!

Tacos for lunch. T home.
Everyone healthy and happy.

We went outside and the kids rode their bikes.
I brushed the Humbolt, Skipper, and Emmy.

It started to rain, and we rushed into the garage.
The kids didn't want to go inside-
but I didn't want them soaked before church...

So we made a hut in the garage!

We swept, pulled out the camp chairs, benches, and even a couple of rugs.
The big cooler was our table.
Music was a playin.
And pumpkin chocolate chip cookies were served!
With cherry limeade in miniature cups!

I loved it - just as much or more than the kids, I think!

Sacrament meeting was extremely noisy,
but great talks by the High Council.

The Relief Society lesson was great.
It was about having a Christ centered home...
We read a talk by Elder Haynes from the April General Conference.

I related the advice given to my mom from her bishop:
(long story... but hope you will get the point without me telling it)

Pray that Satan will be rebuked from (so & so's) life...
Pray that he won't have power to influence...
Or be a part of your home.

The bishop said to use those exact words...
Rebuke.
Sometimes I want to punch Satan in the nose!

And if a prayer will sock it to him, then you know how
my prayers are going to sound tonight...

Because I truly do want a Christ centered home.
And want my kids to feel safe and peaceful at our home.
I know that the world is crazy, and I love that I have
power to keep my own house safe... :)

That's all.

Oh my goodness! I forgot half the day!
I got carried away with the RS lesson.

Great dinner. Hamburgers. Baked beans.
Salads. Shrimp dip!! Family. Even oldies!

Bike ride to Marnees with Owen & Anna.
Anna looked so cute in her new pink dress,
little black shoes, and a bike helmet on!

Owen felt so big and cool going on a LONG
bike ride. His legs weren't even tired.
Not even a little bit, he said. Cause he is
flexible. And in shape!

I rode the bike home (without kids) cause it was going to storm.
T was right. I got half way home
and it started to pour. Then hail.

Big freaking pieces of hail
pelting my arms, back, neck!
I couldn't hardly see and the wind
was blowing AGAINST me!

At first it was kind of fun - a little adventurous
in a way... Then it got a little crazy.
If you live around here, you know how much
hail came down!! T and the kids came back to get me
but I only had a block left by then. So he pulled
out the camera and shot some film of me.

Pretty funny.

And the bike trailer was a bouncing the whole time.
Just saying. And if you asked my sisters,
my outfit (or lack thereof) was horrible and I'm
sure made the whole biking in the hail situation
that much more of a sight to see!

I was soaked and laughing and my heart rate
was sky high trying to get home fast!

What a day. Love it. Love my family.
Love life. That's really all.

Macie's School Performance

Macie had a school performance a few weeks ago, and my parents took my kids down to watch her. Since I wasn't there, I am going off of what I heard... but apparently Owen went to the front row and stood in front of Macie to watch her sing. He stood up and sang all the songs with the kids... and Macie was singing "to" Owen the whole time. Isn't that cute?

Anna must have been singing, too!!

I just love these kids!! They are so darn cute together... and for the record, I would officially adopt Macie to come live with me if I could!! She is the best big sister in the world to my two kids. And don't you just love her hair?

Marnee & Papa's House

My mom watches my kids 2 days a week
while I work at the Party Store.
My kids and I are SO lucky that she is still
willing and able to do this.
She spoils them rotten with attention, fun & games,
and unique activities that they don't get to do at my house!

These pics are just an average day at grandma's!

Driving in the Fire Truck...
Riding the horse...

Making Gak...

A Picture Says it All...

Or does it?
Some might think that my mom secretly
bribed the kids to do this...
While others might think that the two hoodlems
watch too many violent TV shows...

But the truth?
It's just a couple of cousins that found some tape
and string lying around and put it to some good use!!
And had lots of fun in the process!
Ha ha! Love it.

Lucky Lucky!!

My mom has gone on a theater kick lately - and I LOVE IT!! We got to go see Hairspray a few months ago and the Scera did a GREAT job! We were all singing and dancing in our seats.

And then last weekend, we went and saw Annie at the Orem Scera. I LOVED IT again! I wasn't too sure about Owen sitting thru it, but he did great and was "fighting" with Macie the next day to see who could be Annie in their make believe world. Too funny!

The girl above is Tracy from Hairpray

(I know the pictures are blurry but it's all I have!!)

Thanks Marnee! You're the best and we love the fun memories!!
